To Search for Documents Containing All, Some, Any, or None of the Words in a Text String (Document Search)

  1. Open the Search by Form dialog.
  2. Select the Full Text tab.
  3. In the Look for field, enter the text string you want to search for.
  4. Select what you want to search inside, for the specified text.
    • To search inside the files attached to documents, set Look inside to File Contents.
    • To search inside general properties and environment attributes, set Look inside to ProjectWise Attributes.
  5. Specify how the search will be restricted:

    To search for documents containing text exactly as it appears in the Look for field, set Return documents to Including exact phrase.

    or

    To search for documents containing all words in the Look for field, but not necessarily in that order, set Return documents to Including all words.

    or

    To search for documents containing any of the words in the Look for field, set Return documents to Including any of the words.

    or

    To search for documents containing none of the words in the Look for field, set Return documents to Not including all words.

  6. Click Apply or OK.

    Documents matching your search criteria display in the search results list.
